GROWN UP IN BRENT: 100 YEARS OF YOUTH CULTURE

What was and is it like growing up in Brent? Supported by Brent 2020 Culture Fund, the Museum of Youth Culture is collecting photographs, ephemera and oral histories to tell the borough’s youth culture story over the last 100 years through the public’s memories. From hanging out in your teenage bedroom to reminiscing about school days, from your best mates to first loves, they want to hear your stories of being young.

In response to the current Covid-19 crisis, Museum of Youth Culture are working with care homes and other social care providers to create an easy to use in-the-box version of their reminiscing sessions, helping support friendship, wellbeing and memory for those most at risk of being isolated over the coming months.
